From 1984 until the end of 2004 Tonart Productions manufactured distance education products aimed at supporting music students studying the Syllabuses of the Australian Music Examinations Board*. --Since launching its first products in 1984, Tonart Productions produced over 60 titles on audiotape cassettes spanning the syllabuses for Pianoforte, Violin, Violoncello, Flute, Clarinet and Classical Guitar. Tonart Productions also introduced the world's first fully interactive "Aural Tests" CD-ROMs that allowed the user to record responses and compare them to the correct answers both sequentially and simultaneously.

While t hese activities have ceased as of December 31, 2004, the Tonart Productions label continues as the brand name of the compact disc recordings released by Brian Chapman. These CDs may be ordered by clicking the "Catalogue and order form" link at the left.
